LIVING RESISTANCE
Being at the Gift of Tears means taking part in an
intentional lifestyle of voluntary poverty, simplicity,
service and prayer. It is a lifestyle which attempts to
practice the basic principles set forth in Catholic social
teachings: Dignity of the Human Person, Respect for all
Life, Association, Participation, Preference for the Poor,
Solidarity, Stewardship, Subsidiarity, Equality, Common
Good. By living in this manner, we are resisting the
mainstream secular ways that lead us away from our goal,
building the Kingdom of God “on earth, as it is in heaven.”
