As a full-time Catholic Worker, I live an
intentional lifestyle of voluntary poverty, simplicity,
service and contemplative prayer. It is a lifestyle
which attempts to practice the basic principles set forth in
Catholic social teachings: Dignity of the Human Person, Care of Creation Participation,
Preferential Option for the Poor, Solidarity, Subsidiarity,
and the Common Good. By living in this
manner, I resist mainstream's individualistic and consumeristic
ways and do what I can to make life “on
earth, as it is in heaven.” |
